INTRALASE - All-Laser Lasik

The All-Laser Custom Vue Lasik procedure combines two exciting technological advances that offer you the best potential for excellent visual outcomes and the sharpest possible vision. These technological advances are: The INTRALASE Laser and VISX Custom Vue Individualized Laser Vision Correction.

With the precision of all-laser CUSTOM VUE LASIK, laser vision correction is now an even safer and more predictable procedure.

Treatments are available for a variety of patients, including those with astigmatism, whether the astigmatism is associated with nearsightedness, farsightedness or mixed astigmatism. As a result more than 94% of the U.S. population that requires vision correction, 21 years of age or older, is potentially eligible for this life-altering procedure.

Just like a fingerprint, each person's vision is 100 percent unique to their eyes. Before the recent advancements in technology, doctors were only able to use standard measurements to correct vision, meaning that prescriptions could only provide a limited level of correction regardless of an individual's needs.

Now, VISX Custom Vue can measure and address the unique imperfections of your individual vision and provide you with the potential to experience better vision than is possible with glasses or contact lenses - Personal Best Vision.

Treatments are now available for people with:

myopia (nearsightedness)
myopia with astigmatism
hyperopia (farsightedness)
hyperopia with astigmatism
mixed astigmatism

Three key steps to state-of-the-art LASIK:

First, obtaining the best possible data from each eye.

Second, creating an excellent flap.

Third, addressing the optical distortions unique to each patient.

When you call for a no-charge consultation you will be asked the following questions:

-Are you under the age of 21?

-Do you have keratoconus?

-Do you have glaucoma?

-Have you had a previous corneal surgery?

-Do you have a tendency to keloid or make excessive scar tissue?

-Are you taking Amiodarone, Accutane, or Imitrex?

-Do you have rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, or collagen vascular disease?

-Do you have diabetes?

-Have you had a herpes infection in either eye?

-Do you have HIV or AIDS?

-Do you have plans for a career in the FBI or active military?

-Are you pregnant or nursing?

-Are you planning on becoming pregnant in the near future?

A positive response to any of these questions may not necessarily exclude you from having the procedure. You and your doctor will evaluate your health and lifestyle to determine the best course of action for you.
